New Project Announcement: PayPal + Chase Partnership

I'm proud to finally announce another project I've been working on at Chase for the last couple of months: PayPal's new partnership with Chase.

The partnership not only makes it easier for Chase customers to provision cards into PayPal from Chase properties, but it also makes it possible to add Chase Pay (the digital wallet & payments solution I've worked on since I joined the company in 2015) to the PayPal wallet --for both web & mobile.

The project has been announced, but the production work is now only beginning.

My role in this effort was to listen carefully to both Chase's and PayPal requirements. I worked closely with Chase's product & engineering teams, as well as their counterparts from PayPal. I then used all this information to have my team create eCommerce and mobile concepts (in the form of storyboards) to share with PayPal.

The engineering and product teams from Chase & PayPal then used these concepts to come to an  agreement on the partnership. I was particularly excited to work on the concept for allowing Chase users to pay with their Ultimate Rewards points wherever they use PayPal. This is one of the things I personally can't wait for Chase customers to be able to use with Chase Pay.

I look forward to sharing more on this as time goes on. In the meantime, here's some more press on the announcement:
