My first talk of the day was "Computers: we should talk - the conversational web". This has been one of my favourites talks so far on chatbots & CUI's. It's also one of the few I've "live-tweeted". Look up the hashtag  #TalkingWeb

Started the day with "Ready or not: the boys have risen". I asked the panel how traditional web/mobile designers like me could do to better prepare for this platform. The panel expressed how important designers are for this space. They also said: "just start doing". 

• Started the day off right --with Breakfast Tacos, of course. 
• My first full talk was by Christine Herrin, called "It's not ready yet: the perfectionist struggle". Light & motivational.  

It is my favourite time of the year as a designer: the IxDA Interaction conference!

And for the first time since it started, I didn't have to leave my current domicile to experience it! This year, the conference came to NYC.

It had been a while since I took a workshop before the main conference (the last time was a mobile prototyping full-day workshop at Interaction 12 in Dublin). This time around, it couldn't have been in anything more exciting and relevant that chat bots & Alexa.

Throughout the last couple of years, I've been compiling songs that simply make me feel good when I listen to them. I've tested them with other people and they have always had the same effect.
