Artificial intelligence is part of the common discourse nowadays especially thanks to the popularity of services like Chat GPT, Claude, Midjourney or DALL-E.
If you’re a designer, you might be wondering: “How could AI be more useful and applicable for us as practitioners (other than asking questions to a chatbot and generating interesting images)?”
To help answering these questions, I’ve been given the great opportunity to offer a talk on this topic via RETHINK: a dedicated community for design professionals where they can share and learn from each other’s knowledge and experience.
This talk provides a brief overview of understanding the basic of machine learning, algorithms, neural networks and deep learning and how to use this technology and make it useful in your design practice. You will also learn how various AI tools can be used to enhance every step of the commonly-used process of design thinking.
Designers will walk away with a wealth of practical knowledge, and hopefully a peaked interest in learning more about how AI actually works to create compelling AI experiences and future-proof their careers.
The talk will take place on July 25, 2024. You can find more details and instructions to sign up here:

AI (in general, but mainly applied to product design), is a topic I’ve grown very quickly interested in. This is what led me engage in the research that resulted in this talk, so I hope to share with as many of you as possible.
Finally, if you haven’t joined RETHINK, consider using this opportunity to do so. By being a member, you will not only learn from this presentation, but from the various other talks, workshops and members who are part of this great design community.
